MIRROR MOTORISATION.
SOLAR TRACKER.
Tournesol follows the sun and sends its light exactly where you want it: onto a fixed target, or one that moves. Two axes driven over DMX, target accuracy 5 cm at 500 m. Ultra-compact — motors, DMX board and connectors sit inside a 102 × 75 mm cage, with no rack and no remote box. Wind-resistant — the aim holds in a steady 30 km/h. It carries a mirror up to 50 × 50 cm, a Lightbridge CRLS for instance.

COMPOSITION / EXPLODED VIEW
AN ULTRA-COMPACT
DESIGN.
Everything sits inside a 102 × 75 mm cage: both motors, the DMX board, the connectors and the signal path. No rack, no remote electronics. The panel lifts off to reach the boards, and the slip ring lets Tournesol turn without ever twisting a cable. Open the section view to look inside.
One part stays outside, and only if you run Tournesol on battery: the dual V-Mount charger, which sits at the base or on the rig and reaches the machine through a single 4-pin XLR cable. On mains, there is nothing but Tournesol.
Tournesol holds its aim in a steady 30 km/h wind: the structure takes the load without the beam drifting off its target.

SUN AND PERSON
TRACKING.
IN REAL TIME.
Tournesol never relies on a single measurement. Its GPS position, the time and date, the sun position derived from them, the onboard solar sensor and the target GPS are cross-checked continuously: every source confirms the others, and the aim stays true even when one of them drops out. The same computation follows the sun’s course or a moving person, for bounced light, effects and interactive installations.

MAINS
OR BATTERY.
The format stays built around the two motors. The ballast is an Anton Bauer VM2 dual V-Mount charger: two V-Lock batteries and a 4-pin XLR DC output, the very connector Tournesol takes for power. A battery can be swapped without interrupting the movement, and mains power remains available for permanent installations.
CONNECTIVITY / THREE WAYS IN
CONTROLLABLE.
ANYWHERE.
Tournesol V0 is driven from a smartphone over Wi-Fi, from a lighting desk over wired DMX or CRMX, or directly through its USB port.

PARTNER / LUMOGRAPHE
A DEDICATED INTERFACE.
Lumographe is a Tournesol partner. The app ships a dedicated interface on iPad and iPhone: 3D view of the mechanism, pan / tilt pad, degree-accurate sliders and MIDI assignment. It connects over Wi-Fi, or over wired DMX and CRMX.
Wi-Fi control of Tournesol is free in Lumographe, with no licence and no subscription — where DMX control of other sources is paid.

LIGHTBRIDGE CRLS
COMPATIBLE.
Tournesol V0 is compatible with the CRLS 50 and 25 range. The reflector mounts on the tilt frame, in line with the spigot, with no intermediate adapter.
A Tournesol 1 × 1 version is planned to carry the C100. Final compatibility will depend on the mechanical configuration chosen and on prototype validation.

ROADMAP
WHAT COMES
NEXT.
BUILT FOR THE SET.
Tournesol is built for film sets. That is where the demand is hardest: light that drifts during a take makes it unusable, and a correction visible on camera does the same. The accuracy of the aim and its stabilisation come from high-end motors and the algorithms driving them — the set is what shaped the machine.
The same mechanics then open a domestic use: a version set in a garden, on a terrace or on a roof, that follows the sun all year to send its light onto a façade, a room the winter leaves in shade, or a corner of the garden the sun never reaches. It comes after the set, and it inherits what the set demanded.
