Lumographe

On quote

An iPad only counts the months it outputs DMX.

You rent out iPads running Lumographe. Each iPad only counts for a month in which it sent DMX, never while it sits on the shelf, updates or is used to prepare a show. One invoice excluding VAT per month for the whole fleet.

Stripe invoice at the end of the month, with each iPad’s output days.

The active month.

An iPad is active in a calendar month if it sent DMX on at least one day, after confirmation on the iPad. Without confirmation, no month is counted.

  1. 1

    You confirm on the iPad

The first DMX output of the month opens a Lumographe bubble: “This iPad is about to enter an active month”. Until you confirm, no DMX is sent and no month is counted. The bubble also works offline. In the console, the rental house can choose to show the price excluding VAT or require a PIN.

  2. 2

    The iPad outputs and syncs

A single output day is enough for the month to count. The app stores output days and the confirmation with the date, time and project, even offline. They are sent to the server when it reconnects. The confirmation appears in the statement as proof. After 30 days without a sync, output pauses until the next one.

  3. 3

    You get the invoice

At the end of the month, Stripe bills the active iPads. The per-iPad statement lets you recharge your clients.

What is included.

  • Central administration console

All devices, their licences and history in one place. Multiple administrators per fleet.

  • Centralised billing

One invoice excluding VAT per month for the whole fleet, with one line per active iPad. One payment method. Download invoices from the console.

  • Instant revocation

Revoke one device or the whole fleet in one click. A connected iPad loses DMX output within seconds. An offline iPad loses it at its next connection, no later than after 30 days without a sync.

  • Add and remove devices at any time

Add an iPad by code or QR from the console and remove it whenever you want. No minimum and no commitment per device. A removed device is no longer billed from the following month.

  • Priority support

    Your requests are handled first.

Also included

  • Floating licences

N licences for M iPads: the licence goes to the iPad that outputs DMX.

  • Reset between rentals

The client exports their projects, then the iPad goes out clean.

  • Your inventory pre-loaded

Your fixtures are already in each iPad’s library.

  • Your name on the site

Your company in the list of rental houses using Lumographe, if you want it.

Your referral code is on your iPads. A client who subscribes afterwards earns you a free active month, and your clients get 20% off the 7-day pass.

I already have a code.

Enter the enrolment code on each iPad, in Settings › Rental fleet. The iPad then joins your fleet.

Questions

How is the price set?

On quote, based on the number of iPads and your seasons. The quote sets out the terms: duration, any commitment and billing per active month.

How is an active month confirmed?

The first DMX output of the month opens a bubble on the iPad: “This iPad is about to enter an active month”. Without confirmation, no DMX is sent and no month is counted. Once confirmed, the bubble does not return on that iPad for the rest of the month. It also works offline. The confirmation, with the date, time and project, appears in your statement after syncing and serves as proof. In the console, you choose to show the price excluding VAT or require a PIN. LAN guests never see the bubble: only the fleet host sends DMX.

Is an iPad that is only switched on billed?

No. Opening the app, updating it or preparing a project does not count. Only a day on which the iPad sent DMX makes the month active.

How many licences should I take?

As many as iPads outputting DMX at the same time. Licences move from one iPad to another: 8 licences can serve a fleet of 20 iPads.

What if an iPad never connects?

It keeps its output days in memory. After 30 days without a sync, its output pauses and resumes at the next sync.

Do my clients keep their projects?

They export them before the reset. The iPad then goes out clean, with your inventory already loaded.

What terms apply to businesses?

Prices exclude VAT. For a business customer in another EU country, VAT is reverse-charged: give your EU VAT number. The accepted quote prevails. You are responsible for how your clients use the rented iPads and you inform them of the safety rules. Details in the terms of use (article 8.9).

How do I recharge my clients?

The monthly statement lists, for each iPad, its output days. Download it as CSV from the rental console; it is also attached to the Stripe invoice.
